About The Founder
Janice PMHNP-BC, ANP-BC, MSN, RN is a dual-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with 20+ years of healthcare experience. She passionately encourages patients to prioritize their health and wellness.
Mood Wellness assists patients in cultivating balanced lifestyles and mental health routines. Using a comprehensive, holistic approach to help others get to the root of their symptoms and take their care into their own hands, Mood Wellness explores cultural, genetic, developmental, and environmental factors that impact behaviors and emotions.
We are proud to listen, support, uplift, and celebrate the achievements of individuals as they pursue their mental health goals by receiving the dedicated care they need.

The founder of Mood Wellness, Janice PMHNP-BC, ANP-BC, is a compassionate and highly skilled psychiatric clinician who has been providing exceptional medication management and supportive therapy services for years. She has a deep passion for helping people overcome their mental health challenges and has dedicated her career to increasing access to mental health care for all individuals.
At an early age, Janice gravitated toward mental health and she found herself drawn to understanding the complexities of human emotions and behavior. She grew up in a culture where mental health stigma was prevalent, and many people were suffering in silence. This drove her to pursue a career in mental health, where she could make a real difference in people's lives.
After graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in the Philippines, she went on to receive her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut, specializing in Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner then completed her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner post-masters degree from the University of California in San Francisco. Her educational background has provided her with a solid foundation in both the medical and psychological aspects of mental health care. She combines her extensive knowledge with her compassionate approach to create customized treatment plans for her clients that address their unique needs and circumstances.
As an immigrant to the US, Janice has been exposed to different cultural diversities, and she understands the nature of mental health in a much deeper level. She is proud to be able to provide an open mind to people to ease up their mental health burden by understanding where their emotions are coming from. With her extensive knowledge, experience, and empathetic approach, Janice strives to help patients live happier, calmer, and more fulfilling lives.
Services
We provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management with brief supportive therapy to patients 18+ years old. At present, we do not provide psychotherapy.
Initial Diagnostic Psychiatric Evaluation (45-60 minutes)
Follow-up Appointment (20-30 minutes)
Urgent Visit/Crisis Intervention (30 minutes)- urgent visit is defined as an appointment that needs to be booked within 24 hours. This is available for established patients only.
Prior to your first appointment, you will receive by email a packet of information that will include a personal history form, HIPAA information, and information about our policies. Please have these forms completed 24 hours prior to your appointment so that you will have ample time to discuss your concerns and goals for treatment with your provider.
Using a comprehensive, holistic approach to help others get to the root of their symptoms and take their care into their own hands, Mood Wellness explores cultural, genetic, developmental, and environmental factors that impact behaviors and emotions.
By facilitating a safe environment to discuss treatment options, our goal is to educate, instill trust, and inspire confidence in each patient so that they may play active roles in strengthening their mind-body connections and enhancing their mental health.

Due to telemedicine regulations, we do not prescribe controlled substances at this time. Some of the medications in this category include but not limited to:
Stimulants such as Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse, Concerta and others
Benzodiazepines such as Ativan, Xanax, Valium and others
Hypnotics such as Ambien, Lunesta, Sonata and others -
Clients can cancel or reschedule an appointment anytime, as long as they provide 48 hours' notice. Failure to cancel an appointment, reschedule or show up with less than 24 hour's notice, will result in a $50 no show fee

Payment for all sessions is due at the time of service. Credit card information must be provided at the time you book your first session to secure your appointment slot and to be kept on file to cover any cancellation fees. Your information is stored in our secure, confidential online platform.

All major credit cards are accepted forms of payment. Payments after 24 hours of service are subject to a $50 late fee.
